Why Is My Grass Not Green?
So there are many reasons that your grass may not be green:
- You may have different cultivars of grass
- You may have sod, sod usually takes longer to green up over seed
- There may have been little snow cover or the grass was exposed to more of the winter cold air
- Ground temperatures
- The grass may have not been mowed short enough in the fall
So you can help make it greener a little faster by mowing it short this first time to help get rid of the brown grass and let the new grass expose itself faster. Just remember to put your mower deck back up to 3.5″-4″ (inches) the rest of the year. Please let us know if you need any help.
