Christmas Lights Not Working
If your Christmas lights are not working then there are a few things you are going to want to check on.
- Go to the outlet that the lights are plugged into. This is probably going to be a GFI outlet. There will be a test button and a reset button. Unplug your Christmas lights and push the reset button. Now plug your lights back in.
- If that it is still not working then go ahead and check your breaker in the electrical panel. Make sure all the breakers on good. If the breaker is good and it will not reset you will have to replace the GFI.
- If you were able to reset the GFI but as soon as you plug the lights in it trips again, you will either have to wait until the lights dry out or the GFI could be weak because of age. So you will have to replace the GFI.
Remember GFI’s are outside all the time and in all of the elements. So over time wether used or not used they do wear out or become weak.
