The best time to water your lawn is in the early morning. This way the grass blades are able to dry out faster. So you should try to have everything watered by 11am.

The other reason is this is the coolest part of the day and it will give the water a chance to soak into the ground. If you are watering at the hottest parts of the day most likely the water will evaporate and not actually soak into the root zone.
