To properly water your new seed or sod you will want to water the opposite way you would water an established lawn. You will want to water often and for not very long. We set our automatic timers normally at 8am, noon and 5pm and each zone waters for 10-20 mins depending on conditions and coverage of water from the sprinklers. You want to make sure there is no puddling so your seed doesn’t float and move around. If you have a seeded area you want to make sure the top 1/4 inch or so stays moist. If you had sod put down you want to make sure there is plenty of over lap on the edges so the sod edges do not die out. It is very important to make sure everything is staying moist from edge to edge….
Remember, failure to water properly can mean you will need to start all over again. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our office.
